Although it’s not likely it’s going to be winning any awards District 9 is one of those movies I highly suggest seeing. The movie sets in a near future 28 years after a group of extra terrestrials accidentally land on our planet and are unable to repair their ship leaving them stranded here. They are placed in a land of refuge in Africa where crime, poverty and illness rule. The best way to describe this movie is to say it’s a cross between Independence Day, Transformers and Schindler’s List. If you’re not good with Gore I don’t suggest seeing it. Other than that, watch the trailer and go buy your tickets for this weekend. I mean it’s not that difficult. Let me know what you thought of the movie.
