No, It’s not Godzilla
Although I would have to say this movie is a cross of The Blair Witch Project and Godzilla. I went into this movie with low expectations and was completely blown away. Matt Reeves made this generic big monster run movie into a beautiful artistic edge of your seat confusion ride that will not become a jaded memory. I do have to say that this isn’t a movie to see after a night of drinking. Unlike The Blair Witch Project you can see professionalism in all the shots but at the same time have the handycam feeling. The somewhat “no-name” cast was picked well and the acting was even better. The plot followed the characters more than defining the creature which was a nice change.
I definitely recommend seeing this movie. Even if it costs you millions!
